ANIMANIA

Animania was this weekend, what epic fun. Left my place at about 10:30pm and arrived at mums place at 2:30am ~__~. Slept till 7:30 then woke up. After another drive we arrived at the venue where it was being held. It was time to join the queue which was MASSIVE, spanning 2 sides of a building. After an hour and a half of chatting with some random girls the line had progressed to the point where we made it into the door. The atmosphere was amazing, packed boyond capacity easily we walked to the cash register and paid to get in. First up we hit the stalls, straight away we both bought the official convention shirt. Then we proceeded to wander and spend more. Cosplay time, so we walked into the room where it would be held, we got in early so we managed to get good seats but once it started the place packed itself like sardines. A few amazing skits and costumes latter there was a break before the world cosplay preliminaries. I rusehd to the toilets but the crowd was twice as dense as before, by the time i made it back I had missed one of the two skits. As the day was winding we wandered the stall a bit, I met up with some friends from previous cons and then me and my friend went to see who won all the competitions. First off was the game awards where a guy who looked like teh definition of a loser came up to collect his award. Next was the karaoke where a seemingly ordinary guy came up, he ended up singing after the crowd had chantted for him to and his voice was amazing. Lastly the cosplay awards were given out and the group who won the skit performed theirs again. Animania mini con was over for the year again. But what a great time it was.

The next day was a relaxing one, catching up on all the lost sleep and preparing for the long drive home. The only thing we did before we left was visit parklea markets where me and my friend picked up new katanas. Also my little bro scarred the shit out of my friend with his driving and set a new speed record for the two of us. We packed and left for home listening to our ghetto blaster which was being used since the only thing teh car had was a radio. And now I’m finally home ready to watch dexter then get a sleep before being dragged back to reality.

Cosplay is awesome ^_^

Cosplay is one of the greatest concepts ever! You pick a character from an anime show and dress up as them in real life. Then you got to an anime con and take photos of all the other cosplayers or join in cosplay competitions.
